Between 16 August 2021 and 10 December 2023, Mobilis is offering a FlexiAbo Travelcard for either 104 or 156 days of travel, which can be easily activated online on swisspass.ch or mon-espace.t-l.ch for up to one year after purchase.

Choose between Child/Youth, Adult or Senior travelcards, as well as 1st or 2nd class. Prices vary depending on the number of Mobilis zones selected.

This new travelcard is a limited offer, available for purchase from tl_shop or partner ticket counters between 16 August 2021 and 9 December 2023.

Buy

Sales point staff from Mobilis partner companies can answer your questions. FlexiAbo Travelcards can be purchased from all sales points from 19 January.

Since 19 January 2022, you can not only purchase FlexiAbo Travelcards on tl_shop, but also at ticket counters run by Mobilis partner companies. However, since FlexiAbo is a virtual product (sold digitally), travel days must always be activated online.

You can order a SwissPass from partner sales points. To get one, you will need to bring a valid identity document and a recent ID photo.

It only takes a few minutes to upload a FlexiAbo Travelcard to your SwissPass. As soon as the transaction is complete, days can be activated at mon-espace.t-l.ch.

As this is a market test over a limited period of time, most Mobilis vouchers will not be accepted when purchasing a FlexiAbo Travelcard. Only those that specifically mention FlexiAbo are valid.

Payment by instalments is not currently an option for any Mobilis travelcards. However, payment by credit card is accepted, which you can sometimes repay in several instalments depending on your banking institution’s terms and conditions.

Prices

You can choose between Child/Youth, Adult or Senior travelcards, as well as 1st or 2nd class. Prices will vary depending on the number of Mobilis zones selected.

Unfortunately, Mobilis does not offer 1st class travel with any Child or Youth travelcards. For occasional journeys in 1st class, you can pay to upgrade for the Mobilis zones covered. For regular journeys, you also have the option to purchase an Adult 1st class travelcard.

Journeys with FlexiAbo

The 12+ zone travelcard enables you to travel in all 140 Mobilis zones. If you require fewer than 12 zones, you must specify the number at the time of purchase.

All Mobilis travel tickets must be for adjacent zones. However, if required, the same passenger may purchase several separate travelcards. Depending on your needs, a 12+ zone travelcard may prove to be the cheapest option, as it allows you to travel in all 140 Mobilis zones.

Activated travel days can be deactivated on mon-espace.t-l.ch up until 23:59 the night before the selected date. After this time, an activated day cannot be refunded or deactivated.

Activated travel days run until 5am the next morning. They must be activated before you board your method of transport.

Once you have activated your travel day, all you need to do is present your SwissPass card. If you only just activated your travel day, the ticket inspector may ask to see the confirmation email.

FlexiAbo Travelcards and activated travel days are personal and non-transferable.

Refunds and exchanges

The staff at any Mobilis partner sales point will be happy to answer any questions you might have, or provide you with after-sales care.

FlexiAbo Travelcards can be refunded, pro rate and free of charge, before their expiry date in the following special circumstances:

  • Change in journey/zones (e.g. if you move house or change jobs)

  • You are purchasing a FlexiAbo Travelcard for a higher class of travel

  • You are purchasing a higher value travelcard (such as the Mobilis Annual Travelcard, GA Travelcard, Modular Travelcard, for a specific route, or the FlexiAbo 156 instead of the 104)

You can claim these refunds at Mobilis partner sales points.

Yes, if you submit your request before 11 December 2022. After this date, you may be required to exchange your FlexiAbo for another type of travelcard.

Unused travel days can be refunded on a pro rata basis, subject to a CHF 10 admin fee. If you are cancelling your FlexiAbo to purchase a higher value travelcard, you don’t need to pay the admin fee.

Weekly or monthly travelcards can be refunded free of charge if you are buying a FlexiAbo Travelcard. If you would like to cancel your Annual Travelcard, this will be refunded minus an admin fee.

Unused excursion days cannot be carried over to the following year, but are refunded according to the following logic:

We charge the price of a day pass at the reduced rate per travel day used, depending on the class and number of zones of your FlexiAbo. The remaining amount is reimbursed, less the usual excess of CHF 10.
