Journeys in shared zones with other fare communities
Agreements with fare communities adjacent to the CTV make it possible to cross cantonal borders and travel with Mobilis tickets within zones shared with another fare community. In these zones, it is possible to travel with a Mobilis ticket or a ticket from the other tariff community concerned.
| Region | Common areas | Communities |
| Fribourg, Broye vaudoise
Châtel-St-Denis |
100, 105, 106 and 107 130 to 135 160 and 161 |
Mobilis and Frimobil |
| Neuchâtel | 126 and 127 | Mobilis and Onde Verte |
Journeys outside the Mobilis perimeter
Mobilis tickets are valid on trains and buses until the last stop or the first stop within the tariff community, according to the timetable (vehicle stop) and the zones purchased.
For occasional travel
Direct train rule
Community tickets are not valid on vehicles which, in accordance with the timetable, only stop beyond the Mobilis perimeter. This provision applies by analogy in the opposite direction. In this case, the passenger must purchase a national fare ticket before departure.
Examples:
| With Mobilis ticket | Planned route | Before you leave |
| Zones 20 / 21 / 22 | Nyon-Geneva on a train stopping at Coppet | Ordinary ticket Coppet-Geneva |
| Zones 20 / 21 / 22 | Nyon-Geneva on a train not stopping at Coppet | Ordinary ticket Nyon-Geneva |
| All zones | Lausanne-Geneva on a non-stop train between these 2 cities | Ordinary ticket Lausanne-Geneva |
| All zones | Lausanne-Geneva on a train stopping at Nyon | Ordinary ticket Nyon-Geneva |
Journeys outside subscription zones
If you wish to continue a journey beyond the radius of validity of a Mobilis subscription, you will need to purchase a Journey Extension ticket for the number of additional zones.
| With Mobilis subscription | Planned route | Before you leave |
| Zones 11 / 12 | Lausanne-Morges | Course extension 2 zones (33 / 30) |
Combining zones with direct routes outside the perimeter
If you want to enjoy the benefits of local fare zones while travelling outside the Mobilis perimeter, the City-Ticket is ideal. It allows you to combine a journey between two cities and the fare zones of one or both of these cities, at an attractive fare.
The City-Ticket includes a single or return journey and a zonal day pass.
For example: a City-Ticket between Morges and Geneva, with the Mobilis 30 zone and the Unireso 10 zone, allows you to connect Morges to Geneva and use urban transport in Morges and Geneva all day long.
Half-Fare travelcard
The Half-Fare travelcard entitles you to special prices on public transport throughout Switzerland. The Half-Fare travelcard offers discounts of up to 50% on Mobilis tickets and daycards.

For frequent travellers
Combining zones with direct routes outside the perimeter
To enjoy the benefits of local fare zones while travelling outside the Mobilis perimeter, the modular subscription is ideal. It allows you to combine a journey between two towns and the fare zones of one or both destinations, at a low fare.
The flexible monthly or annual pass includes a route pass and a zonal pass.
For example: A flexible season ticket between Morges and Geneva, with Mobilis zone 30 and Unireso zone 10, allows you to link Morges to Geneva and use the urban transport systems of these two cities as often as you like.
General subscription
The general season ticket allows free travel on the network of most public transport companies in Switzerland, including the entire Mobilis perimeter.
