The Direction générale de la mobilité et des routes (DGMR) is taking the opportunity of the Route de Berne requalification project to encourage a change in mobility habits.
The pilot operation, carried out in partnership with the Communauté tarifaire vaudoise (CTV) - Mobilis - focuses on the population and businesses of the localities served by the tl 62 Moudon - Epalinges/Croisettes and CarPostal 435 Thierrens - Epalinges/Croisettes lines.
The incentive takes the form, among other things, of a promotional offer on the purchase of public transport season tickets. A further 60 bicycle parking spaces in the form of "racks" located at 12 sites along these lines, and the promotion of car-pooling, complete this operation.
An assessment will be carried out at the end of the Route de Berne project, in 2022, to guide the DGMR and CTV as to whether this type of operation should be repeated for other road redevelopments elsewhere in the canton.
